Swedish Medical Center Selects Kyruus ProviderMatch for Patient-Provider Matching in Access Contact Center

Boston, MA, May 14, 2014 – Kyruus, a leading provider of Patient Access & Referral Management Solutions, announced today that Swedish Medical Center has selected Kyruus’ ProviderMatch platform to power its Patient Access Contact Center. The platform will enable patients and referring physicians to be matched to clinically appropriate, in-network providers across the Swedish provider network of about 2,000 healthcare providers. The deployment will focus on improvement of provider schedule utilization and enhanced patient experience for those seeking healthcare services at Swedish’s numerous practices in the Greater Seattle area.

“Our new Patient Access Contact Center plays a critical role in our effort to deliver high quality care in a timely manner,” said Kim Nicholson, Vice President of Patient Access at Swedish. “In order to ensure success in these efforts, we needed a platform that could provide our schedulers with a ‘single source of truth’ about providers, with real-time search, scheduling, and analytics and reporting capabilities. ProviderMatch was just that solution.”

ProviderMatch empowers schedulers and referral coordinators to rapidly identify the right providers for patients in real-time. Its scheduling protocol management platform enables providers to engage directly and efficiently in the access and referral optimization process, while providing tools for clinical and administrative leaders to manage capacity relative to organization-specific patient demand. “We assessed numerous options for our patient-provider matching needs,” noted Karen Srour, Program Manager of Access at Swedish. “ProviderMatch provided exactly what we needed for our functional and business requirements.”

To support the recent expansion of its customer base, Kyruus announced that it secured more than $11 million of additional financing to fuel the growth of its sales, client services, and engineering teams. Kyruus will use the funds to continue to develop its market-leading portfolio of technology-enabled services that address issues such as centralized access, physician-to-physician referrals, point-of-discharge scheduling, and ACO network management.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Swedish to help them continue to serve their patients through better access to the right providers across their network,” said Dr. Graham Gardner, Co-Founder and CEO of Kyruus. “Swedish is clearly positioned as an industry thought leader in terms of taking a data-driven approach to patient-centric decision-making and creating a superior patient experience. We are excited to work closely with them across their communities.”
