Former Cleveland Clinic CEO Toby Cosgrove, MD Will Deliver Keynote at Event for Health Systems Leaders Focused on Patient Access Transformation

Boston, MA – May 22, 2019Kyruus, a leader in provider search and scheduling solutions for health systems, today announced that it will host the Sixth Annual Thought Leadership on Access Symposium (ATLAS) in Boston from September 23-24, 2019. More than 250 health system leaders from across the country will convene to explore new strategies for engaging healthcare consumers, enhancing access to care, and driving better clinical outcomes. Attendees will learn how peer organizations are rising to the challenge of “Expanding Boundaries. Removing Barriers.” – the central theme of the 2019 conference.

Toby Cosgrove, MD, renowned cardiovascular surgeon and former President & CEO of Cleveland Clinic, will keynote this year’s event. Dr. Cosgrove, who now serves as an Executive Advisor to Google Cloud’s Healthcare & Life Sciences arm, will share his perspective on the evolution of patient access and how technology is transforming the future of care delivery during a conversation with Erin Jospe, MD, Chief Medical Officer at Kyruus. The 2019 presenter line-up also includes Jeff Gourdji, Healthcare Practice Lead at Prophet, who will share insights from the recent book he co-authored, “Making the Healthcare Shift: The Transformation to Consumer-Centricity,” and host a book signing.

“Healthcare leaders are looking for new ways to connect with more patients, in more places,” said Toby Cosgrove, MD, Executive Advisor to and former President & CEO of Cleveland Clinic. “Digital technology is breaking down the barriers to access and launching a new era of patient-focused care. I look forward to sharing ideas with ATLAS attendees to accelerate change and improve global patient experience.”

Building on the popularity of last year’s CEO panel, which focused on driving systemness, attendees will again hear from prominent health system CEOs. Gary Gottlieb, MD, CEO of Partners in Health and former CEO of Partners HealthCare, will moderate a discussion on leading patient access innovation with CEOs from Boston Medical Center, Christiana Care Health System, and Piedmont Healthcare. The full agenda will include breakout sessions – one on leading innovation and the other on operationalizing it – and feature thought leaders from other prominent organizations like Banner Health, Prisma Health, Providence St. Joseph Health, Boston Children’s Hospital, and more.

The 2019 pre-event program will include the second annual Clinical Summit, as well as the annual Kyruus Customer Forum. The former gives clinical leaders a unique opportunity to engage with peers and share ideas on strategies for improving both the patient and provider experience from a patient access lens. The latter gives Kyruus customers an annual venue to connect with and learn from fellow leaders at various stages of their patient access transformations as well as hear directly from Kyruus’ product team.

“As the previous ATLAS conferences have shown, achieving meaningful patient access improvement requires not only great vision and commitment, but also sound change management strategies,” said Graham Gardner, CEO of Kyruus. “This year, we’re looking forward to bringing thought leaders from across the country together to exchange both novel ideas and proven best practices, so we can work together to make a bigger impact on access – faster.”
