Boston, MA - Kyruus, a leader in provider search and scheduling solutions for health systems, announced today that Chris Gervais has joined its executive leadership team as Senior Vice President of Engineering. Gervais will oversee the company’s core software development and engineering operations team. He will be responsible for scaling the company’s enterprise-wide patient access platform and delivering high-impact innovation to end users at Kyruus’ health system customers across the country. Expanding and further developing the engineering team as Kyruus continues to grow will also be a key priority. Gervais will officially assume his role at Kyruus in January 2018.
Gervais brings more than 20 years of technology and product development experience to Kyruus, including a decade in the healthcare industry. Most recently, he was Vice President of Engineering at Threat Stack, a Boston-based cloud security company focused on helping companies operate securely in the cloud. As a founding executive, he built the Engineering team and product development processes to help scale Threat Stack’s platform to deliver new features continuously, while processing and analyzing billions of security events every day. Leading up to Threat Stack, Gervais held engineering leadership positions at lifeIMAGE, Enservio, and Inflexxion, amassing rich experience building complex technology platforms, developing products to meet evolving market needs, and maintaining security for scaling solutions.
Gervais’s experience also includes seven years at Partners HealthCare, where he spearheaded initiatives and created solutions to support enterprise IT goals for the integrated, not-for-profit health system. As a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) Program Architect & Technology Relationship Manager in Application Development, he drove engineering strategy for the new SOA initiative and operationalized a multi-year co-development partnership with a major healthcare IT company. In his prior role as a Technology Planner he developed IT strategy and requirements to create enterprise architectures and implementation solutions, collaborating with hospital chief information officers and IT leaders.
“Scaling our engineering team and platform is essential as health system demand for provider data management and patient access solutions continues to rise,” said Graham Gardner, CEO of Kyruus. “Chris has a proven ability to build and manage engineering teams that deliver industry-leading products, as well as a genuine passion for solving challenging problems in healthcare. We’re excited to welcome him to Kyruus.”
“Having worked in healthcare technology for several years, I was quickly drawn to how Kyruus is helping health systems achieve their digital transformations by improving patient-provider matching, care coordination, and demand distribution,” said Gervais. “I look forward to working with the Kyruus team to extend our market reach, continue the growth of our technology platforms, and empower our customers to optimize patient access.”
