New Jersey’s Largest Integrated Healthcare Network Deploys Kyruus Technology to Transform How Consumers Find Care Online

Boston, MA – November 2, 2020Kyruus, the leader in provider search and scheduling solutions for health systems, today announced that Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH), the largest integrated healthcare network in New Jersey, is utilizing the company’s solutions to power its efforts to make healthcare easier to access. Building on the organization’s earlier work with Kyruus to create a system-wide provider directory, HMH is now simplifying how consumers find care online with Kyruus ProviderMatch® for Consumers.

Since the merger of Hackensack University Health Network and Meridian Health in 2016 to form HMH, the health network now includes 17 hospitals and more than 500 locations throughout New Jersey. The need for HMH to gain a holistic view of its provider network to support its patient access initiatives became more important than ever. To that end, the team implemented the KyruusOne® platform, gaining both system-wide visibility into the network and detailed insight into each provider’s respective clinical areas of focus. HMH now has more than 9,000 provider profiles built in KyruusOne, which the team uses to keep information up-to-date more efficiently through the platform’s ongoing data ingestion and direct data feeds.

HMH also launched ProviderMatch on its website, giving consumers a dynamic, user-friendly way to search for care. The solution pulls data from KyruusOne so consumers can find the right providers for their unique needs based on robust and accurate provider information. With ProviderMatch, HMH not only introduced a more modern search experience, but also consolidated multiple find-a-providers into one. In the next phase of the project, HMH plans to build on this by offering self-scheduling within ProviderMatch.

“At Hackensack Meridian Health, we’re dedicated to making access to our full and growing provider network easier for patients,” said Pamela Landis, Vice President of Digital Engagement at Hackensack Meridian Health. ”We’re excited to have reached major milestones in this work with Kyruus and look forward to the next phase focused on delivering a new level of convenience with online scheduling.”

HMH is also using the ProviderMatch APIs to extend the new consumer search capabilities to its mobile app, ensuring consistency across its digital assets and experiences.

“Hackensack Meridian Health recognized that rapid growth had left it with an extensive network of providers, but no single point of access to information about them,” said Dr. Graham Gardner, CEO of Kyruus. “We’re excited to be enabling the HMH team to maintain visibility into their complete network and make it easier for consumers to find the right matches for their unique needs across it.”
