Experienced Healthcare Executives Now Advising Care Navigation Pioneer on Expansion in Health Plan Market and Broader Digital Health Ecosystem

BOSTON – May 27th, 2021 – Kyruus, the leader in provider search and scheduling solutions for healthcare organizations, today announced the appointment of Tina Brown-Stevenson, a former senior executive at UnitedHealthcare, and Rob Coppedge, CEO of Echo Health Ventures, to its board of directors. The two seasoned healthcare industry experts will advise Kyruus on its growth in the health plan market following its recent acquisition of HealthSparq, a leading healthcare guidance and transparency technology company serving more than 100 health plan brands. They will also guide Kyruus on its business development and merger and acquisition strategies as Kyruus continues leading the way in bridging care navigation across healthcare access channels.

Tina Brown-Stevenson brings more than 30 years of experience in the health plan space, most recently serving as Senior Vice President for Health System Analytics and Decision Support at UnitedHealthcare before her retirement in 2019. Prior to her more than 10 years at UnitedHealth Group, she held executive leadership roles at several major healthcare organizations including Aetna, Cigna Healthcare, and Partners HealthCare. Brown-Stevenson earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and master’s degree in health administration from Framingham State College. She will leverage her wealth of industry knowledge to advise Kyruus as the company enhances connectivity and collaboration between health systems and health plans.

“Kyruus has achieved an impressive impact in healthcare already and I am thrilled to join the company’s board of directors as Kyruus leads the way in connecting health plans and health systems in powerful new ways,” said Brown-Stevenson. “I look forward to playing a role in supporting Kyruus’ inspiring vision to reduce fragmentation in how people find and arrange the right care.”

Rob Coppedge has more than 20 years of experience building, growing, and investing in healthcare companies. He currently serves as CEO of Echo Health Ventures, a strategic collaboration between Cambia Health Solutions and Mosaic Health Solutions. Coppedge joined the Kyruus board following Kyruus’ acquisition of HealthSparq from Cambia in April 2021. Prior to his current position, Coppedge served in various senior roles at Cambia, including as President of its Direct Health Solutions unit. He earned his bachelor’s degree in history at Georgetown University. Coppedge will provide valuable healthcare growth and investment expertise as Kyruus pursues new business development initiatives, further cementing itself as a leader in healthcare access and navigation.

“Kyruus and HealthSparq are already demonstrating the immense potential to improve healthcare that can come from breaking down historical siloes,” said Coppedge. “I’m excited to be part of not only driving growth of that existing union of businesses, but also in helping Kyruus identify other opportunities to further connect the healthcare ecosystem and improve patient access.”

“Tina and Rob are accomplished industry leaders with invaluable experience and perspectives to bring to the Kyruus board,” said Graham Gardner, MD, CEO of Kyruus. “We are fortunate to have them as new partners in executing our vision and rapidly expanding our market reach across segments – with the ultimate goal of making it easier for people to access the care they need.”
